My Facebook Fast in a Nutshell

What did I learn from a week of fasting Facebook? That there are many other distractions.

Did I put my time to good use? Absolutely not! My house is still a mess, my children still ignored, and while I should've been preparing my Sunday sermon, I actually only focused on making it to the next level on Candy Crush.

My greatest lesson? That if you play Candy Crush enough you begin to see patterns of three or more on peoples faces and in the trees. You want to swap unlike items in order to properly clump like items. Welcome back signs of OCD!

What I would've posted had I been able to this week?

• Yes my fat faced, bowl- hair-cut little Boy is getting senior pictures taken today. Where did time go?
• Teaching Collin to use his genius for good and not evil has finally paid off. Instead of overcharging kids for pencil lead refills to the pencils, with no lead he previously sold them, he now scored among the highest in his class on the Language Arts Benchmarks. We knew he could do it!
• Mom and Dad, I'm fine. Matthew did not produce even one raindrop over Naples, FL. Some of the most beautiful weather we've had in a long time. 
• Happy Birthday to all of you I missed!
• Yes! I'm supposed to be preparing my message for this Sunday. Come see me! #Icantpostthis #fast-ends-sunday
• My husband is waiting on my message material right now and I am typing up stupid posts for Facebook. Can't post them though! What a waste of time. #Iwasnotobedient
